Way to go on the topic of D.I.N.K.s and kidless families. I, too, believe that any question about a couple's choice to have or not have children is rude. You are asking about their health and their sex life all in one question. A good rule to follow - if you aren't close enough to that couple to know without asking, you aren't close enough to that couple to ask.
Also, I used to get many and varied responses to my statement that we had chosen not to have children. "Why not?" As though the choice weren't a valid or natural one. When someone says they ARE having children, no one asks them "Why?" Perhaps we should start asking those questions and only people who think about that choice will have kids. Won't that be a nice society?
still listening but I need to look busy so . . a couple years ago I renamed my kids Sneats and Bleen. Now at sports or other events I can call out to them and their friends don't get it.
